AD out of Maintenance Mode

After failed talks with my Indian hosting provider, who did not bothered to give me access to my hosting space in their server despite promising me to let me do so, changing of server to some 'phoren' hosting provider, setting up of Arunachal Diary in a new server, painfull 'scavenging' of datas-that were not backed up -from the net and further losing of comments and posts that could not be scavenged, Arunachal Diary is back online again albiet without bells and whistles-in a free template available.

Arunachal Diary is back

Arunachal Diary is out from maintenance mode, though with a different skin, lost posts, lost comments and probably some lost photos too.

The technical snag that resulted has left me 'scavenging' the net for traces of posts and comments from Arunachal Diary left in web space available to be recovered. I was able to recover some and lost some.

Now you would find salvaged Arunachal Diary without a comment in the recent posts. I do sincerely apologize to those commenter whose valuable comments I could not recover. It was all my mistake that I did not took back up of the posts and comments before server failed. It has taught me a lesson, though. And in all probability, from now on, I'd be backing up datas; as you know now that datas are not always safe in server. And for the meantime, I'd be using the skin till I'm able to skin Arunachal Diary with customized theme.

A Glitch

Arunachal Diary is in the process of fixing a glitch that this site encountered recently...We promise we would be back soon with all the lost posts posted since September 2nd and with new updates.

Do bear with us till Arunachal Diary is back in it's normal self.

Down with flu...

This is just a short post to announce that I've been down with flu since past week and the updates on Arunachal Diary has taken a backseat.

Advertise on Arunachal Diary

Oops.... Advertising on this site is not open to everyone, yet. The reason being Arunachal Diary still does not command that large fan following that the advertiser's would love to see. Besides, the niche this site covers is constrained that may put off the potential advertiser's.

Then, why this advertise page?

Having said that advertising on this site is not open to advertiser's yet, in order to help itself to cover up for running and maintenance of this site and to help small businesses to advertise their products or services (kinda symbiotic relationship), Arunachal Diary is allowing limited set of individuals/small companies/small businesses/startups etc. to advertise on this site by allowing them to sponsor a 'space' to showcase their products or services at a very nominal rate.

When you say that Arunachal Diary doesn't have that no. of hits that a conventional advertiser would love to see, give me atleast three reasons on why should I advertise on your site?

1. Firstly, advertising on this site is open only for businesses in Arunachal to give them opportunity to reach out to wider audience.
2. Having said that it doesn't have that no. of hits a potential advertiser would like to see, the site has followers from India and abroad looking for information on Arunachal, the site being concentrated around niche Arunachal Pradesh. So, by advertising on this site there is better chance to connect with the people seeking information on Arunachal and Arunachal specific products or services than advertising on other non-Arunachal sites.

Presently, we are allowing two 125px x 125px non-rotating space for sponsorship which may go upto four later.

Yes, if you don't give a damn about no. of hits that Arunachal Diary receives.

New Look-Arunachal Diary goes Green

Finally, Arunachal Diary is sporting a new look based on theme Green...and I'm working to smoothen Arunachal Diary out. I'd be updating more about it later in this post. Do keep watching this space..

I'm totally lost... new template is totally behaving abnormally. The header image is appearing at it's will. When I checked in Mozilla browser, it is showing but when I open Arunachal Diary in IE it is not. So, what now. Would I revert back to earlier template? No. I'm trying to sort it out without reverting back to earlier template. May be posting would take a back seat. Well, just kidding...both fixing bugs and posting will go on simultaneously. So, do keep visiting.
